How do you style an odd little built in?

Okay, I am not sure how you would style it. And I would be curious to know, but here is what I did. As you may remember I had this odd little built in, in the dining room. It was plain and boring, so I put some wrapping paper on the back wall to give it some interest. I still love the pattern it gives.

As you can probably tell, I love blues, greens, black, white, and silver. Puente and I made the paper collage together. The hedgehog stone, is a coaster that the Boy gave me for christmas. Don’t you love it when you get a gift you didn’t know you needed? The shadow box holds another collage made by a dear friend for Puente and I. It has beads and buttons and little treasures assembled in it. There is a little six pack of beer, and a “P” and a “H” for our last names. I have been having trouble getting a good close up, I am still working on my camera skills.

The typewriter art is from Ikea. I love that place, but I have already told you that.

This little silver frame was a thrifted find, that I painted silver. The gold/ green/ brown frame I also found at a thrift store. Someone had layered five different sized frames together. It is so amazing! I wish I had come up with it. You know I want to steal the idea and make more.

The small shadow box holds a card Puente gave me. It is so sweet. I know they are kissing……

I love blue wine glasses. I know you red wine drinkers want to see your wine, but they are so pretty. Here is a small sample of the aluminum trays I have. All thrifted, and under $3.

More wine glasses. A cute little plant, that died. Not enough sun, I think.

Here is a full shot of the odd built in. You can see cups of chalk for the chalkboard. The black floral mug holds extra keys, and the green cup holds chapstick and odd little stuff.
Well, what would you have put here?
