One window, three curtains

I love Target. I can’t say that enough. I love the quality, the selection, the prices. I go at least once a week, and spend at least $50. Now I get everything there, food, clothes, shoes, household cleaners, movies, sheets, towels, make-up, the list goes on and on. And I love when they mark things down on clearance. So many things I have gotten when they were marked down. The clock in my dining room, a set of dishes, the quilt on my bed. All of these things, I looked and looked at. I would walk by them and just look and touch them. When I buy something I want to be sure I really want it. I will wait for a sale, or the mark down. Somehow its like I have earned it.

So, I wanted curtains for our front living room window. There were so many that I liked, but I didn’t have my heart set on just one. Then it happened, walking down the main isle I saw the red stickers! I pulled poor Puente down the isle and just stared. Which one? Almost all the styles were on sale. I choose a white and gray pinstripe. They have grommet tops. Pretty and neutral. I thought with all the color I was using elsewhere, they would be perfect!

And I liked them, BUT they didn’t work.

I just felt they did nothing for the room. And I wasn’t a fan of the grommets. So back to Target I went…

I have always loved this floral pattern. I love the grays, and greens. But these seemed too traditional for the rest of the room.

They also seemed too dark for the room.

Then I brought home these coral/orange curtains. That’s better. Bright, cheerful, modern, and more color. They are just so right. Just so pretty. Just what I never knew I wanted.

I love this pattern. Almost like seashells. Almost like those Japanese paintings.  I love it.
So, I took back the gray and white ones. I have kept the gray floral ones. I am going to use them in another room. I added a third panel of the coral/ orange. Just split in the half and hemmed both sides. Now the curtains are fuller, and cover the whole window.
What do you think? Which would you have chosen?
