I have always wanted a sectional.
They can seat so many people. Two people can lie down, and watch TV. Comfortably. I love my old Pottery Barn love seats. They were just too uncomfortable to lie down on. And let’s be honest, I watch a lot of TV. And I usually fall asleep while watching.
I had been reading reviews online about the Ikea Ektorp sectional. Mom’s with small children liked them. Everyone agreed it was a great price. And the quality, well, it’s Ikea. Not great, but good.
It’s slipcovered, which I love. I washed the slipcovers for the love seats every 3 months or so. The fabric choices were awesome. I think they have 8 or 10 different ones. I have been drawn to the white for about a year or so. With it being machine washable, I decided to go for it!

I have a loveseat and now an oddly placed futon I got as a hand me down. I can't WAIT to move to a bigger place!
I know what you mean, hand me downs may not be what you had in mind. When you get that bigger place, you will appreciate it all the more.
