Simple Valentine’s Decor for those who don’t like Red!

Sometimes you want to decorate for an upcoming holiday, but you might not care for the traditional color associated with it. That is how I feel about the color Red.

I am much more of a blue and gray and black and green and purple girl.

I mean, Red is fine. In fact, I decorated the front porch with some red for the Christmas holiday. It is just not my favorite color. I did want to decorate a bit for the Valentine holiday coming up. But I didn’t want to use a lot of Red. Here a few simple items I used to show the feeling of the holiday, and that had a little bit of red color too.

Ampersands, I love them. They connect You & Me. I love the way all of these galvanized ones look together. I made the you and me arrow art with craft shapes from Michaels and scrap book paper.

A Rae Dunn plate that says Love in red. And a small spool of bakers twine in Red and white. Quick simple, and can be used over and over with different color stories.

A small cutting board with a heart from the Dollar spot at Target. And a spool of red twine.

A small wood slice with a heart. And a gold metal “love” sign- again from the dollar spot at Target.

In the lower right hand side you can see another “you & me” craft shape. This one I just placed on the lip of the picture frame.

Its not all red hearts, or cupids, or flowers. But I think it still says love and Valentines!

What cute and simple ways have you added a little love to your Valentines decor?
