2017 is the year to make dreams come true!
I have had a hard couple of years, financially that is. Getting divorced was the best decision for me, and the worst for my pocketbook.
My advice? Don’t get married. And always keep your money separate. Life lesson learned.
But we are not looking back anymore! We are moving forward, and this Blog is Step One.

I love thrifting, and finding unique items. I have bought and collected more than I can ever display in our little home. And I love the thrill of the hunt! Why not open a shop?
This will help with my collecting/hoarding/shopping problem, and hopefully bring in some money too.
I have been reading success stories from women who are using multiple different venues to support themselves. You just can’t make it with one full time job anymore. Everyone needs a side hustle!
I am committing to spending time everyday here on the blog, but now some time with the shop as well!
I have also started an Instagram feed with the photos I take for the shop. Just like the ones you see here.
I am going to try and keep the photos consistent in style. Let my photos and shop stand out from the crowd. All small items will be placed on the table for a close up.
I like having the background be a little bit decorated, just as above. The silver trays are neutral and blend in the background. But they also show the featured item in a home, not just a house.
I also love using this burlap placemat under items. It adds interest and texture, while still letting the featured item stand out.
