Patio Before

I am trying to get better at this whole blogging thing. A lot of the blogs I follow have before and after photos. So you can see what is was, and where they took it. The potential it had, and how it got there.

This post is all about the before photos. They were taken on a overcast day, and nothing has been transformed. YET.  I can’t wait to show you the afters, but for now here is a little tour.

This is our little patio in the back yard. It sits right next to the garage.
When we moved in, everything was just put out here.
The silver table and chairs came from a garage sale a few years ago. I only paid $40. The orange umbrella is from Home Depot, a few years back. It is starting to fade on the outside, the inside is still bright.
The wicker chairs are from Target. A friend recovered the cushions for me last year, when we were getting the old house ready to sell. The fire pit is also from Target, we have used it handful of times. I love that campfire smell we get from it. The little round table is from Ikea. I have two of them. One I bought new, the second I got at a thrift store for $6.
The grill, a metal box I found by the side of the road, and a plant stand that was here when we moved in. Those green and white chairs in the background were also here when we moved in. Whoever lived here before us put them in as tomato plant supports. They don’t have seats.
The wood table was given to me. It is not a trunk, the bottom is open, and the top attached. The two black chairs I pulled out of someones trash. They had two more, but they were broken. Why throw away four chairs, if only two are broken? You can see the second Ikea table. The white bench is vintage, I got it at a thrift store for only $25.
Here is the view back to the house.
Just like other rooms I have shown you, this will be slow to reveal. But I CAN NOT WAIT!!
Color, lots of color! You just wait 😉
