Another spot in the Kitchen

I am slowly showing all the spots in our cute little rental house. A few you have seen more than once. Here is a spot you have seen part of before, but I thought I would show some more details of. I have been collecting old wood cutting boards at estate sales and thrift stores. They have a home here on the counter. We also keep paper napkins in the green and white basket. The blue sunflower tray, is something I have had for years.  I have used it all over the house. I love it.

The jar holds twist ties and binder clips for closing bags and such. The glass vase holds beer caps and wine corks.

The Michigan cutting board I won in a contest at work. I may have gotten really competitive when I found out what the prize was. Let’s just say, there may have been some trash-talk happening. The yellow cloud napkin holder is from Ikea. Super cute, just wish it was a bit taller.

The paper towel holder had been that blond wood color before. Purple spray paint changed it and the wood shelf we hung above it. The brackets were cheap white ones, we sprayed spring green. I love little bits of color. The wire baskets are from TJ Max, I was so happy after I got them. I had wicker baskets before, and you couldn’t see what was in the them. With these wire ones, you can see and they remind me of old gym locker baskets.

The little bacon and egg sign Puente gave me. I love these turquoise and white vintage Pyrex bowls. I got the whole set a few years ago at a antique store.

Here is the sideboard again. She has been so great. Extra storage, extra counter space. And more RED. Awesome, love it.

There you go, another look at the kitchen. One more wall to go. Another day 😉
Do you like the pops of color?
