Painted Magnets? Yup.

Hi There!

Sharing another summer project:
Project #2- DIY Painted Magnets

Okay, I am going to be straight with you. This was not my idea. I stole it.
I don’t remember where I had seen it first. But you can find lots of examples on Pinterest.
I have seen them painted gold, silver, and even chalk board black.
Here are the steps on how I painted mine.
I bought 4 packages of fridge magnets at Target in the dollar spot.
They had both lower and upper case letters. So, I got two of each.

Opened all the packages and spread them out on some cardboard.

Took a half can of spray paint I had left over in the garage, and painted three coats.
Turning the letters so that I got all the sides covered.

I let them dry for a few days in the garage so the paint had time to harden.
Then put them up on the fridge in the kitchen. They are a nice pop of color on the black side.

And I love them on the silver front of the fridge.

So, cute.

Now, I don’t have small children anymore. But my kids still love spelling out words on the fridge.
There may have even been some words that are not appropriate to display here. 😉

There you have it. Quick, simple and cute in the kitchen. Oh and one more thing,
Stolen.
What do you think?
