Our Summer Patio and Yard

The Summer is over, and the Fall is here. But I have so many photos of how lovely our yard looked this year. I thought today it would be fun if I shared a few of my favorites. We had such lovely weather all summer that we were able to really enjoy it. We had a couple of parties, had about half of our meals on the patio, and started countless days in the yard with a cup of coffee. You should be grateful for those little things, because that is when life happens. In those small moments.

This little corner was where we often had our morning coffee to start our day. It was nice to sit and watch the puppies run after each other all around the yard. And at night we would have a fire in the fire pit.

I placed my favorite resin wicker chairs here, with two round side tables and a cart all painted the same Teal color. A couple of cheap throw blankets- that stayed out all summer long, and some pretty pillows- that turned out not to be comfortable at all. But I do love how they look.

This was the starting point of our Summer decor. Dark brown, teal, navy blue, white, silver/gray, and black were the colors I worked with mostly.

This is a great view of our yard. To me it looks warm and cozy and inviting. And so put together! This view made me proud of how far our little yard had come. You can see the start of the patio decorating on this post.

In the foreground, is a Craigslist table with 2 thrifted and 4 free by the side of the road chairs. The table is a silver/gray color, which adds some lightness to the vignette. While the dark brown wicker chairs, although not the same, do match the sitting chairs by the fire pit.

Can you tell that my favorite color is blue? A dog bowl, glass rocks, side tables, stool, pots, blanket, pillows , and a tray are all different shades of blue. I do love blue, all shades. Makes me happy 🙂

I felt that the side of the garage needed some height, so I placed these Ikea shelves here. Each were thrifted, all at different times. They look like one large piece, so I decorated them as one unit. Lanterns, glass holders, and plants.

To the left side we have some tree trunk plant stands. My boyfriend and I picked these up by the side of the road. I had been waiting some large trunks, I had asked around, I put that vision in the world, and then there they were! For free, my favorite price!

This last weekend we started to put up all the small items for the winter. Annuals that were done flowering were composted. And the garage is getting reorganized to hold everything once again.

Thanks for stopping by my little spot here on the interwebs!
