2018 Halloween Front Porch Decor

Halloween. I love it. Here I present to you- our 2018 Halloween Front Porch Decor. The porch is all spooky and decorated for the fall season.

Yes, I know that it is November 1st. And maybe a little late, but I needed to get this up before it was way too late. Yes, I am late, but at least I am showing up. It’s something that I am working on. Stay with me.

Welcome to Halloween 2018!

Let’s take a look back:

Each year I decorate our front porch just a little bit different from the years before. Check out some of the past years below:

Since I try to do everything on a budget, many of the items used have either come from the dollar store. Or they were fun DIYs and crafts. Check out my Halloween Crafts from the past here- Halloween Crafts

Black and Orange are traditional, but how can you up the mood?

When I decorate for Halloween, as I do with many of my themed decorations, I start with a color pallet- or color story. Here, of course, I used Black, Orange, Green- with pops of Blue, Red, and Silver. When sticking to a color story it is easy to shop your house for items to add to your display.

Budget Decor doesn’t have to look cheap!

I love using the black cheesecloth every year. It lends to a spooky look and feel- without being disposable like that cheap spider web stuff.  I can just bag it up and use it again next year. And each piece was from the dollar store, so there was very little investment to start with.

I saved empty glass bottles for months to make these DIY Poison Bottles

These DIY Poison bottles are my favorite craft. Like ever! I have a couple of posts you can check out below:

Nothing says Halloween like SKULLS!

I always use a lot of skulls and skeletons in my Halloween decor. Plastic skulls and skeletons in my book are a must. Many of the Poison bottles I crafted have skulls on them. Check out my Halloween Skull Mantel from last year.

You don’t have to get the grocery store pumpkins!

We found these cool Orange and White crackled and Sage Green pumpkins at a local pumpkin patch. They are weird and unusual, which I love! And they were very affordable- just $5 each. Our grocery store was selling the plain old orange pumpkins for $8. I will buy from and support local when I can, and if I save a little money? All the better!

Mix items to together to make them appear BIGGER!

I have used this twig wreath a couple of times over the years. This year I layered it over a second Boho yarn wreath I made to give it more presence. I really like how the two work together.

How do you fill your cauldron Witch?

What’s a Witch to do when she doesn’t have a Mum plant big enough to fill her cauldron? Add spooky faux flowers from the dollar store! That cauldron is full and spooky and beautiful now.

It was a great and Happy Halloween 2018! See you next year

Well kids, there you have it. Another Halloween themed decorated front porch. I hope you found some inspiration here.
