A Warm Winter Gallery Wall in the Living Room

Good Morning, jumping on to share a quick look at our living room gallery wall decor.

But first how about a photo of a sleeping puppy?

If you look closely, you can see that Pepe’s eyes are open. He was a little mad that I was standing over him taking photos. And as soon as I was done, he buried himself under that throw blanket. I love that grumpy little puppy!

I just love these picture ledges that I got from Ikea. They have been moved around a couple of times here at our little rental home. There are 4 ledges here, two long and two short. I staggered them to give the room a bit of interest. They are not too deep, but are perfect to prop a couple of frames and canvases.

I have been feeling the need to add more blues, and blacks and browns to my decor lately. I’m not sure if it is the Fall and Winter vibes. Or if I am moving towards a darker color story for my decorating. In any case, I love the mix of metals and denim canvases.

I wanted to add some Wild life photography to the mix. And of course I wanted it to be cheap, as I will most likely be changing out the decor here in a matter of weeks. So, I went on line and googled “free black and white photography”. Then narrowed my search to “deer”, “owl”, “moose”, and “buffalo”. I then printed the images on regular white paper on my printer, and cropped and framed in Dollar store frames. So easy, even I could do it!!!

The four metal tiles were thrifted finds a few years ago. My boyfriend and I found them and loved them, but could never decide where to hang them. By placing them here on the picture ledges I can change them out when ever I want. If I change a theme or artwork collection, they can go back to storage to be used another day.

Look at those eyes! I love that face!

This Buffalo photo is so cool. I love that he is in the snow, and all of the different black and gray colors in the photo. I wish I had printed a large image to frame, or decoupage to a canvas or piece of wood.

Except for the metal tiles and the You and Me poster, everything was a DIY or craft project by me. I love having the satisfaction of making my own artwork to fit my home and style.

Well, that was quick! I hope you enjoyed a little look into my home. Please let me know what you think in the comments below.

Thanks for stopping by.
