Thrifting Treasures #2

I am here back with the thrifting finds of the weekend. All of these finds were from one Estate sale and one donation base thrift store. I got a few great things and was ready to call its quits after only 2 hours. Let’s see if you think I did okay for the little bit of time put in.
I found this beat up, dirty, badly painted bucket at a thrift store. I have been looking for one to put the garden hose in. This baby needs to be cleaned up, and painted back to the silver color it should be.

For $2, I can spend another $8 on paint and it will still not be as much as a new bucket. Score!

When I saw this in the same section as the bucket, it was hard to know which one to grab first. This guy wants to have a DIY Mexican pottery paint job. For only $1, I will take it.

It is only plastic, but it has so many details to paint. I think I will spray paint it all one color, then save it for a winter project to get all the details done.

I found this vintage basket in the basement of the estate sale. I always find the best stuff at estate sales in the basement or the garage. That is where people store some of the stuff they don’t have any value for. And that is usually where the things are that I am drawn to.

This guy has seen some where and tear, but he is still so sturdy. I plan on painting him and stacking it in the dining room with some other baskets I have. For $8- I have more cute storage.

Sorry for the bad photo. I thought it was better, maybe I should wear my glasses when taking these pictures?
This little tray was at the estate sale too. Another paint project for sure.

The pear has to go!

I see myself doing some scraping off of some, what is that glue? For $2- I will put in the work and have something cute.

I have two other pairs of garden clippers like these. They were both way more than $1. I just need to clean up the blade with some steel wool.

The picture frames were at the thrift store, $1 each. I have a project in mind for the flat surface of the frames. I really love the colors too.

These oversize plates were at the thrift store. I wished they had more, I love these so much.

Look at those colors! We plan on using these for food pictures. I see green beans or asparagus on the blue plate. How about a meat and potato meal on the green?

For .75 cents each, if we only use them for food pictures I will have gotten my moneys worth.
 I only spent a total of $19.50.
What do you think? Time well spent?
