I made my Bed! *

Hello there 🙂

I have been wanting to show you a different room in the house lately. I have shown the Living room and Dining room a lot. I have done the Patio and Front porch a fair bit as well. I want to make sure you get the feel of our whole house. So I cleaned my room, changed my sheets and made my bed. Then I took way too many pictures of a bed. Normal people do that right?

Our bedroom is on the street side of the house. It faces West, and only gets afternoon sun. We also have some large trees in the yard, so often the front of the house is in shade. It’s awesome in the summer, our room doesn’t get too hot.

You may remember these curtains from the Living room. We had tried them out there, and decided to go with the orange ones instead. I love the Gray floral pattern. It has beautiful blues, greens, yellows, and reds in the pattern. I love them in here, and they look great with all the Grays in the bedding.

We have a Queen size bed, but I used a King size quilt on it. I like the look of it hanging down better. Sometimes for me, a bedspread that stops half way looks too short.

The colors in our room are Gray, Purple, White, Black, and a dark Teal. The bedding is a mix of Grays, White, and the Teal. The accessories are also a mix of these colors.

All the furniture is natural wood tones. I always think about painting or staining the dressers, but I don’t do it for some reason.

I love this Ikea dresser. I got it from a thrift store, it was $40. It is in perfect condition. I wish I could find another one. It’s on my list for thrifting for sure!

The Black and White pillow came from Ikea. I think everyone has this pillow, I see it everywhere on the internet. I don’t care, I love the graphic pattern.

No, it does not live here all the time. I was trying to style the room to look more done.

Styling, something else I am working on.

Yes, that is a T.V. remote. Sometimes I like to binge watch shows on DVD in bed. No, it is not hooked up to the cable. I would never turn it off if it was. This way I only use it when I want to watch something. I hope thats not too much information 😉

The lamps are from Pottery Barn. I love them! They are a deep shade of Purple glass, and the shades are a nice soft White. They were the one new thing I bought for this room when we moved in.

The quilt came from Target, it was on clearance. I love those red stickers! I looked at this quilt for over a year just waiting for it to be marked down. It is Cream on the top, and dark Teal on the back. In these photos the Teal looks a bit more Navy.

We don’t have a headboard right now. It is something that I want to DIY, and am having a hard time deciding exactly what I want to try.

The euro pillows and shams came from Ikea. I love this White and Gray pattern, it reverses the colors on the other side. I prefer this side with the white on gray.

I love this set of the solid Gray sheets. They are a micro-suede fabric, and are so soft and comfy. They came from Target, and were $30.

I have two sets of the sheets and two sets of the euro shams too. Put one set in the wash, and put the other one on the bed. I love that.
