I love quilts.
I love quilt patterns.
I love the graphic statement they make.
They are traditional and modern at the same time.
I painted another quilt. I am a little obsessed with them.
I am not going to give a tutorial on Painting quilts. It is pretty self explanatory, draw out a quilt pattern and fill in with paint. An easy DIY artwork that anyone could do.
I had this canvas that I had made a paper collage on. I used scrapbook paper ripped in squares and glued to the canvas. I made it when I was selling my old house, but I was never really happy with it.
I have been loving Barn Quilts. So I took the paper collage and painted this Wedding ring pattern over the top. The paper patterns add to the texture of the new Painted Quilt artwork.
Then I added a black outline on the edges of the canvas. I love it so much.
I hung it just inside the front door, so I can see it every time I come home.
