A Tiny Dining Room, a tiny tour

We have a Tiny-Little dining room. Sort of a walk through area to the kitchen. An odd end space to the living room. It’s just big enough for a table and four chairs. I have plans for a few little projects to add color and pattern. Something I crave in my living spaces. I love to look at all white rooms, and homes decorated in neutrals. It’s just that, I need color. Since this is a rental I will add it with furniture and accessories. That can be just as fun as color on the walls. 🙂

This is Puente’s farm house style table. The base is painted purple. It came with four of the white chairs, but that was too matchy-matchy for me. I have been collecting odd chairs here and there to mix it up. The plan is to paint them each a different color in the spring.

That little built in on the left is very narrow, I think it had been open to the front door on the other side. I assume someone closed it up for privacy, or something. It is a cute space to display some glasses and things. I love the clock, it was on super clearance at Target. I love how big it is, and I love galvanized metal. I am so drawn to it, you will see it in all my rooms.

I have  a quick and cheap project to show you how I added some pattern to the back of the built in.  That’s my next post 🙂

I made the curtains. Love the fabric, lots of color and pattern. They are so happy!! The curtain rod and rings are from Target. My kids used to think everything came from Target. The girl even thought her baby brother was coming from Target. I love Target.
I have had that plant for years. It started as a four inch tall plant in a two inch pot. I am pretty sure it is older than my kids. I made the chalkboard from an generic framed piece of art I got at a thrift store. I loved the frame, which is purple and gold. I just spray painted the glass with chalkboard paint.

I just love the quote on the chalkboard. That is what I have decided to do with my little project here. I want to live my day dream. I want my life and home to be happy and colorful.

Well, there you have it. A Tiny Dining Room, a tiny tour.

  1. Thanks Adell! Super easy and cheap! I think I got the framed art for $3 and the chalkboard paint for another $6. Less than $10 is always good for me! Thanks for stopping by my little project here. I appreciate it.
