A Lime Flavored Front Porch?

Hi There!

It is time to show you the Spring Front Porch.
My favorite color is Blue. All blues, navy, cobalt, turquoise, sky, you name them, I love them.
What one color looks great with all of the blue colors?
Lime Green

Now, I am on a bit of a spending fast, so everything here is something I already had. One afternoon, I just went to the garage and started pulling out all the items that were lime green. I then pulled some blues and a bit of purple to mix it up!
I am a hoarder. Hi, my name is Jackie and I am a hoarder.

This little blue bench, I have had forever, and it has been a couple of different colors of blue. He has been used over and over on the front porch. I like having him right by the door to set my purse down on while I open it. It frees up my hands.
The lime green stool was thrifted and painted by me. I had two at one point, but sold one in a garage sale. I see these stools all the time, a simple and classic shape. It goes with many different styles and tastes.
I love having these types of pieces of furniture. They can work for seating or display.

I have two of these DIY picture frame chalkboards. I thrifted the frames, cut plywood to fit and painted it with chalkboard paint. Easy, peasy! If you haven’t made one yet- DO IT! They are so fun to change out. And you don’t have to be an artist to write something on them.

Here is my wicker table again. He may be getting a new paint job soon. I paint him every other year, or so and I think he may be going neutral this time. Crazy, I know! But I haven’t been too happy with this light blue color and I want to have something that can be used more easily for all seasons. Stay tuned!
The wicker table was pulled from a neighbors garbage, and everything else was thrifted or bought on clearance. When you buy things you know you like, the collection grows without even trying.
And you can save a lot of money!

The picture frames were a project from last summer. I made a gallery wall on the fence outside my kitchen window. And I will most likely put that back up again, but for now the frames add more color and height to this little display.
The wreath I made from Dollar store items. I just pulled apart the flower stems, and hot glued them to the twig wreath form. Then used green twine to hang it on a nail. So simple, and pretty!

I love blue, but this lime green color is a very popular color for pottery. Most of this was $1 or less- thrifted of course!

I am so in love with this little gnome! He is so stoic, and ernest.
And yes, blue!

I layered the pots and frames for color. I also used a galvanized metal tray. I always throw in a bit of that lovely gray metal color. Here it works a s neutral for your eye to rest.

Another little thrift store stool, this one painted one of my favorite turquoise blues.
I have used so many textures here- pottery, glass, wood, metal, and wicker. It is the colors that make them a family, and the textures that give them so much interest.

Last night while out in the front yard, two neighbors who were walking by- said that this is one of their favorites of the displays that I have done so far. And they always walk by to see what I may have changed.
It was very sweet, and such a nice compliment!
