I love succulents, I have a bit of an obsession with them right now. Every time I go to Lowe’s, I have to go and look at them. You now, just to see, I can’t help it. Like I said, a bit of an obsession. Over a couple of trips I got a few more and took some pretty pictures to show you.
I put these together a while ago. I love the look of the rocks and dirt through the glass vases. I clustered them on the coffee table on the patio. I just love this little grouping. I like how the dark dirt contrasts with the bright stripes of the coffee table. This little dark brass star also adds a nice distinction between the two. Citronella candles in votives always look pretty.
I found this large jar at a garage sale. I love the size of it. They only wanted $4, but I talked them down to $3. Haggling is half the fun of garage sale-ing. With the cost of the dirt, rocks, plants and jar this project was just under $17. If I would have bought something like this a nursery, it would have been twice as much at least. I love do it yourself, saves you money.
I used three different plants. A silver grey, a bright green, and one with red tips on the leaves. I don’t know the names to any of these, and thats okay. I just wanted plants that had different shapes and colors. Each plant is a different height as well. That adds variety to the pot.
How pretty is that?
Are you tried of looking at plants?
I have one more big posting coming with plants, then I will move on to more decorating. I hope you keep coming back to see what I have going on.
