Spring Easter Front Porch

Hi there!

I know Easter was a few days ago, but here is a quick look at the Front Porch decorated for Spring and Easter. In another week and it will all change once again!

IMG_0980I wanted a bright and cheery front porch. I went with a Turquoise Blue and Purple color story, and rounded it out with the usual Silver Galvanized metals and Light Natural wood tones. I collected from my stash all of my Purple items- a lantern, a painted cheese box, and a couple of ceramic berry baskets. Even the Pansy flowers have some Purples. You can see how your eye travels around the vignette to all of the purples.

I always start with what kind of stand or table I am going to use. This time I wanted lots of different layers. A couple of small stools, all painted different colors-Gray, White, and Turquoise. A small natural wood step stool, and a taller wood stand to balance on the other side. I also put a Galvanized metal box and flipped it upside down to use for some more height.

I found the cute plastic Easter Eggs at Target, of course! They came in sets of 12 with 4 each of the Dark Blue, Green, and Light Blue. I used three sets to fill the Ikea lanterns that I love so much! Filling the Silver Ikea lanterns with the eggs brings more of the Blue and Green colors to balance out the Porch.

I found the large Ice bucket at an Estate sale for a song! It was missing its lid, so I knew that I would use it as a flower pot. That cute metal flower has a magnet on it, it looks too cool on the bucket. I found the flower and a couple others at Michael’s Craft store.

On this side of the porch, I used a small White table and another Gray painted stool. More Blues, and Greens, and Galvanized metals. The tray and glass jars, once again make your eye travel around the display. On the top left are two plant holders that represent my two Kids- one Girl and one Boy. I have had those stands for years and they are starting to fade, maybe I will give them a fresh coat of paint later. Maybe not. 😉

I love this Spring wreath I made from Dollar Tree flowers and a grapevine form. Even the Green twine came from the Dollar Tree. You can really find some cute stuff if you look there. And sometimes you can find the craft supplies you need, much cheaper than at other places.

A close up of the Ice Bucket with these super cute Purple flowers. Too pretty, and look at all of the buds yet to open up! It is going to be gorgeous.

Pansy’s and Viola’s are some of my favorite flowers. I just loved this mix of Blue, Purple, and Yellow flowers. They were just the right colors for my Spring Easter Porch.
