Plastic Flamingos? Love them? Hate them?

Hi There!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I have been sharing pretty little spots in the back yard that I have decorated on the cheap.

Lets look at another little spot…

I love Flamingos.

My first car had a pink Flamingo in the back seat window.

At my old house, I put plastic Flamingos around my daughter’s playhouse.

I love Flamingos.

I know many people HATE Flamingos.

They think they are tacky.

I don’t care what they think.

This year for the Patio I wanted a colorful Eclectic Boho look for FUN. And what is more fun than Plastic Flamingos? At the bottom of the photo you can see a small garden bed with two brightly painted Flamingos. See, fun already!

One Flamingo is painted Purple, and the other is painted Turquoise.

You can see the first time these lovely birds came to the back yard in this post.

You can also check out when these girls made it to the front porch.

I have not touched up the paint on these girls in the two years since I painted them. And they have held up pretty well. You can see a few scratches on the wing, but otherwise- still pretty purple.

I love the color Blue. I have said it time and time again. This turquoise color is a favorite for sure.

The ground cover is small rocks, sea glass, glass beads, and decorative gravel.

All of these materials were in glass vases for drainage with Succulents on top. You can check out my Succulent postings hereand here, and here, and finally here.

I love Succulents too. When cleaning out the vases at the end of the season, I put all of the drainage material here to act as a ground cover. Looks pretty, don’t you think?

I guess this is not really a project that happened here. Not this year anyway. But by placing the Flamingos here, it brightens up this small garden bed. I used items I already had and made a small space cute. And it was Super easy for sure!

You don’t like Flamingos?

What do you like?

Frogs? Birds? Fairies?

USE them, if you love them and they make you smile- why not?

I hope that I have shown that you can use what you have and make your home pretty, fun and all yours on a budget.

Have a good day, come back soon!
