A Spring Table Setting

Hi There!

Here is a quick posting of our Easter Table.
Nothing fancy, just pretty plates, and flowers.
We got a new table by the side of the road late last summer. That’s right, free!
I haven’t posted about it yet, but it turned out great! It ended up only costing $1 for the stain.
Now that is a deal!

We had my boyfriend’s parents over for dinner. It was a nice afternoon.
I got these burlap placemats from the dollar spot at Target after the holidays. They were 50% off, so I got 4 placemats and a table runner for $1.50 each, a total of $7.50. You can’t beat that!
I didn’t use the table runner, it was a little too short. I may make a couple of more placemats with it.

I decorated the odd built in with Black and White items, and all of my “&” art.

I am not very good with the center piece for tablescapes. I struggle with what to get, that won’t look too much. So, I got grocery store tulips and jars I had, and put them in a tray.
These tulips were so pretty, my boyfriends mother thought they were fake!

I love the green and blue Ball jars. Very pretty spring colors. We have the purple ones too.
This tray has been 3 or 4 different colors. Right now it is painted green, dry brushed over black.
It looks great with the jars and flowers!

I only have 4 of the turquoise bubble glasses, so I used 2 blue Ball jars for drinking glasses.
The plates and silverware are from Target. The silverware was a gift many years ago. They look awesome and can be washed in the dishwasher. The plates were a set we got when we moved to our little rental house. And yes they were on clearance.
I am always on the look out at thrift stores and garage sales to find more.

I love all the blues and greens on the burlap and weathered wood.
It just looks like Spring!
What do you think?
What do you use for center pieces?
Thanks for stopping by!
