A few Paper Trees for Winter

Hi There!

I have been trying not to spend money on any holiday decorations, but I still want to decorate. You know? Whats a girl to do? Go to Pinterest of course! Where I saw these cute origami trees and decided to get out the paper and scissors. Here is what I made… a lot of…
I used some old scrap book paper I had on hand.
I used full sheets of paper to make the large trees and small scraps to make the small ones.

I won’t give you a tutorial on how to make them, you can find many on the web as I did. But I will say that they were super easy, and I got a little bit addicted to making them.

I made enough for every jar in the window to have it’s own tree.

They didn’t always sit so straight on the lids, but still cute none the less.

Its like every jar is wearing a hat.

I used all different colors of paper, and a few that were patterned. The abstract and floral papers are some of my favorites.

I love the jewel toned papers, they came out really sweet.

This stripe paper turned out cool. Because of how the paper is folded, each side has the stripes going in different directions.

I liked using the red and pink papers for the trees, it gave them a bit of vintage feel that I love.

This guy was my first tree I made. I used a paper grocery bag, just in case it didn’t turn out. I just love how it turned out, even with the plain brown paper. So cute!

This paper is floral and has green and purple colors in it, but I still think it says winter.

This project was so fun and relaxing for me. I made two or three trees a day, and I just love how they look in the window.
What do you think?
Pretty? Busy?
Thanks for stopping by!
