A boring post with photos…

Hi There, how are you?

I hope you have had some coffee.

I think that I am about to bore you.

This is your fair warning, that this is not an exciting post.

Are you ready for what it is?

It is tiny/small space with more doors than walls.

Crazy, I know! But please stay with me, it won’t be too bad 😉

We have been in our cute little rental house for a couple of years. And most likely will be here for a couple of more. We had been living with beige/yellow walls during that time. To say the beige/yellow color was bringing me down, is an understatement. I hate that color! I lean toward a more blue/green/black/gray color pallet. I needed to change the color, and I have been painting all of our common spaces this light gray color. And I LOVE it!

You can see the difference this color has made in our little bathroom, here.

This is our tiny hallway. Tiny.

It has the 3 bedroom doors, a linen closet door, the door to the bathroom, and the opening to and from the living room. All of the doors and trim are painted a warm white. And all of the hardware is a brushed nickel finish.

There is an old school laundry shoot, that I love. Both of my Grandmother’s had one in both of their houses when I was growing up. It seemed to me to be the coolest thing. I still think its an awesome idea!

There is only one wall big enough for any art work. This is an scrapbook paper collage I made for my old house. It was in the Guest powder room off the main living area. I love the colors, blue, green, and purple. Like I said, I lean toward the blue end of the color wheel.

I took a craft store canvas, and a set of scrapbook papers, with some glue and some paint to make this.

The papers were ripped into squares, then glued to the canvas, overlapping a little. Once the glue had dried, I watered down some light blue paint and gave the whole canvas a quick paint wash.

It is a nice little pop of blue color here in the hallway. The art work also ties in with the Indigo blue guitar my boyfriend has. They match, with out being the same.

This tiny hallway only gets light from the other rooms or the small overhead light. Believe it or not, it felt even smaller when it was the beige/yellow color. This gray color makes it appear larger, and brighter.

Do you like the color?

Are you still awake?
