Hi There! Happy 4th!
I took these photos over a week ago, but sometimes life gets in the way. You know?
Lets get started, here is the Front porch all dressed up for the 4th of July.
Lots, of Red, White, and Blue.
This was a quick and easy change over, everything here has been used before on the Front porch. I just moved a few things around and changed out some of the plants.
Except the New Pallet Flag and stars banner. They are the new updates for this years 4th of July porch.
I have been wanting to make a Flag for years. At one time I had the materials to do it, but the project never happened. This was the year it was going to happen, damn it! I was able to make this Flag in an afternoon., and then I wondered why it took me so long to do it.
The flag ended up being a little bit bigger than I had in my mind, but I love the statement it makes! You can see it from down the street, it looks very cool.
Many of the small accessories were used on the English garden porch. The blue glass, the stone birds, and all of the galvanized metal fit in with this theme as well, so I left them.
The stars and stripes banner, the pinwheels, and the small flags were all used on the porch last year.
You can see that porch here. Last years porch, although had all of the same items, is a very different look. Check it out!
I love these little pinwheels so much! They are plastic, and on a wooden dowel. They spin so easily in the wind, they are too pretty!
The flags are in a small vase and on a wood block for height. The Ivy and the blue glass candle holder were here on the English Garden porch. The White Petunias are in a galvanized striped bucket. I love how the subtle stripe adds to the theme of the porch, without being overly Patriotic.
The Pallet Flag, isn’t quite done yet. I still want to add 13 stars. I love the graphic of the 13 stars in a circle! But for now, Target had this little wood star banner in the Dollar spot this year for $3. I just tied it to the flag and got some stars on my stripes!
I moved the Fern into my favorite galvanized bucket. I got it at a estate sale for just a couple of dollars. Now the Fern has a bigger footprint on the porch now. I needed it to have more weight to balance out the new Pallet Flag.
And could these striped Petunias be more perfect? They are pink and white striped, but in the blue pot- they scream 4th of July to me! I love, love, love them!
The wicker table, and two stools are in the same spots as before. But it was how I moved everything else around that gave the porch a different look. I hope that I have shown you, that you can change up a look with very little effort. This change over only took a little over a half an hour. Well worth the time I think!
Well, what do you think?
Do you decorate for the 4th?
Have a Happy 4th of July!
Thanks for stopping by!
